Giraffe
Known locally as Giraffe (due to our social enterprise cafe in Perth), our primary aim is to help people with severe and complex barriers, such as learning disabilities, autism and mental ill health, to make the transition towards inclusion, socialisation and, if appropriate, into meaningful work.
We achieve this by providing relevant supported work experience, vocational skills and personal development. We focus on overlooked aspects, such as confidence building, which enables our trainees to move their lives forward as well as being an active and included part in our local communities.
Our social enterprise, Giraffe Cafe, was primarily set up as there were not enough employers in the local area who were willing to offer the type of supported employment and development that we offer.
