Assalamu Alaikum! As we observe the blessed month of Ramadan, let’s remember the virtues of giving and generosity emphasized in Islam. Our fundraiser aims to install water pumps in areas where access to clean water is scarce, providing relief to those in need.

Islamic Virtues of Giving:

1. Sadaqah (Charity): Giving in charity is one of the core principles of Islam, symbolizing compassion, empathy, and solidarity with those less fortunate.

2. Ramadan Rewards: The rewards for charitable acts are multiplied during Ramadan. The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, “The best charity is that given in Ramadan.”

4. Increased Blessings: Allah’s blessings are abundant during Ramadan, and contributing to projects like ours earns multiplied rewards and blessings.

All praise is due to Allah, The Lord of the Universe. May the peace and blessings of Him be upon our beloved Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the leader of all messengers, his companions, and all those who follow him.

G&Y is a UK based registered Charity No: 1122271 organisations which were established in 2007 with the aim of helping to eradicate poverty for orphaned children and poor people through Bangladesh.

Our activities and objectives are to provide financial support towards the educational needs of children from poor families, help to deliver education by building Madrasa schools, to provide access to educational materials and development programs for study, to build a shelter for the homeless, distribute wheelchairs to disabled people. Other projects include Medical treatment, Rickshaws, Sewing Machine distribution among poor women, Orphan project, Qurbani project, Winter Blanket Project, provides fresh and clean water and financial help for widows. Between 2007 and 2020, Goreeb And Yateem Trust Fund have donated over £2 million to different projects all over Bangladesh.

One of our main priorities is to provide financial support for the education of poor children. We recognize the importance of education hence our commitment to provide it abundantly. We provide schools, study materials and study programs to serve our commitment.

Allah tells us in the Quran

The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] which grows seven spikes; in each spike is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies [His reward] for whom He wills. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. Quran (Al-Baqarah : Ayat 261)

He also says, Satan threatens you with poverty and orders you to immorality, while Allah promises you forgiveness from Him and bounty. And Allah is all-Encompassing and Knowing. Quran (Al-Baqarah : Ayat 268)
